From Photos right click on the image you wish to edit and choose Edit With > Other, and then select Photoshop from your applications (or any other photo editor you might prefer).
If you don't already use one of the myriad services available for collaborative editing -- Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, Microsoft OneDrive and so on -- Apple now offers basic file sharing with real-time updates. It also enables the "universal clipboard," which is essentially the same thing but across nearby devices you've got logged into the same account (sort of like Airdrop), but it's hard to tell what's new. Want a quick contact sheet of the birthday photos you just shot? With Image Capture and OS X 10.6, you don’t even have to download the images first. Once your device is connected and you can see thumbnails, select the images you want to include on the contact sheet, choose MakePDF from the Import To popup menu, and then click on Import. Image Capture will initiate the process then hand over the work to the MakePDF application.
In its early days, Image Capture served as your flatbed scanning interface. But over the years that functionality rarely performed as expected, if at all. Snow Leopard has changed that.
You can rotate, flip, search, sort or remove the system photos with this software.

You could use a NAS box instead of an external hard drive in that instance, so that you can access your music whenever you're connected to your local network.
Photos contains a handful of ready-made albums managed by the app itself. As you might expect, All Photos lists all your photos, from oldest to newest, in order but without the location ordering present in the Photos view.
